For the "welcome backs". Especially to BiW, it's an honor to be called your "blogsis", Counselor.
Since I've been gone (not really, since I've been playing cheap trash romance writer on my online journal), I can now understand why famous musicians, poets, artists, mimes, etc. turned to drugs to get the creative juices flowing. And that is why it started sucking to write here when I gave this up.
I still hate politics probably because of all the spineless hypocrites we have running our government these days, people that would sell their soul to the devil if it meant staying in power for the rest of their lives and collecting big pensions at taxpayers' expense. Nobody wants to be a leader, a visionary, anymore. It's all about pandering to the masses and getting what's best for YOU instead of the country. But why should anyone be surprised? They don't teach love of country that much, if at all, in the schools anymore. But everyone is told to look to good ole Uncle Sam's pockets to take care of them from cradle to grave without anything in return, even loyalty, to the country of your birth. And as most of you know, our young are taught to question and even hate our country for everything and anything we stand for and for those principles that propelled us to the superpower we have become.
And I'm bored...very bored. I drink at least 1 pot of coffee a day and have to take a pill to get a good night's rest. It seems my job lasts from 7am to 7pm now, due indirectly to new government mandates concerning Medicare which have made things even more convoluted. But according to a fellow blogger, who pissed me off enough to re-open shop here again, that is why she, a (limousine) liberal Democrat, is more Christian than I am. We all should be willing to work more hours to pay an every increasing tax burden put on us by a hungry government where more is never enough, according to her. But what she doesn't see is that unlike her, I don't live in a neighborhood where the kids are given Volvos as graduation gifts. Where they can afford to find high price accountants to avoid paying taxes but then shame the rest of us because we dare ask for even a 10% cut in our tax bill that we cannot get out of paying.
I don't work overtime, I don't work hard to get a measly 3% raise so that most of what I earn, and what has exhausted me to earn, is automatically snatched up by Uncle Sam because he knows better what to do with MY money than I do.
None of the Republican candidates are making me excited enough to count the days till November, but at least Mitt Romney is working his ass off to get nominated, and is starting to look a helluva lot better than Fred(!) Thompson. I was WRONG for ever thinking Fred(!) could be another Reagan, you can't even get the man to debate, that's how much he really wants it. Which he doesn't obviously. And Romney appeals to me too, and you know why? Because his Mormon religion has become such a fucking big deal to some hard core Christian fundamentalists. The kind who probably thought John F Kennedy was going to pronounce Roman Catholicism the State Religion and enshrine the Pope as his entire Cabinet. I can totally empathize with Romney on that.
More o'pinions, later on...time to go back to work and try to earn a living.
Again, thanks, everyone!

Yayyyy!!!!
Nothing gets creative juices flowing like like strife and misery, ma'am. Trust me on this, I get it daily now.
As for the blogsis thing, I meant it. You and Dick inspired me to start mine up.
I also meant what I said. If you wanna see the best thing I have written in years, shoot me an email. I can't post it for reasons I can explain in the email, but it got both the Dick and Misha seal of approval. If things completely go in the toilet here, at least I may get a novel out of it...one that might even sell.
Don't let politics get you down. Remember, it is a pendulum, and it is already swinging back the other way in the judiciary. Hang in there.
Welcome home!! you want me to resize that banner for you :)???
If you don't mind, Count...what's your addy?
